Adagio Hazelnut Black

Description (from Adagio.com): This new flavor combines the full, bright taste of Ceylon black tea with the toasty, creamy sweetness of hazelnuts. Hazelnut's natural pairing with chocolate makes this tea a perfect complement with dessert or a touch of our sugar crystals.

Review: I haven't really had a craving for black tea in a very long time. I hardly drink any all summer, but it was 33 degrees when I rode into work today -- it's getting frosty in upstate New York -- and today was a perfect day to try Adagio's new black hazelnut.

This tea, much like the honeybush hazelnut, is amazing. I think I am probably biased because I love the taste of hazelnut. Overall, the honeybush blend had more of a hazelnut flavor, but the black tea is so pleasant and so creamy. Adagio should have released this as a holiday blend...it reminds me of Christmas. It tastes somewhat like their chestnut holiday tea from last season, which I also loved.

This is a great breakfast tea, or afternoon tea, or dessert tea...there is not a best purpose or time to drink this tea. It is not particularly strong, but because its base is ceylon, it is also not astringent and works so well with the creamy, nutty, chocolatey hazelnut flavor. Anyone who is looking for a sweeter, more coffee-esque tea, this is a great choice. I love it.

Just so you know, people, Adagio's Holiday Teas are out now!

The Good: delicious flavor, aroma, creamy ceylon base
The Bad:
none
