Choice Organic Teas' Darjeeling Makaibari Estate

Description (from ChoiceOrganicTeas.com): Shaped by the mists and fog of India's Himalayan foothills, our organic full leaf offering from this Biodynamic garden has a refined floral aroma, bright flavor, and a hint of Muscat grapes.

Review: I am pretty sure I have sampled darjeeling from Makaibari before, but can't seem to poke through my reviews thoroughly enough to find it. I am not an enormous fan of darjeeling, though I love the wood and honey flavors often associated with darjeeling teas.

This blend is no different: bright, sweet flavors that taste of a honey infusion and woody undertones. This darjeeling has more than a hint of Muscatel flavor...the blend overall has a lot of flavors and is quite complex. I think this is one of the unlikely blends I'd rather enjoy cold -- overall this is actually a surprisingly interesting blend that can be enjoyed in many different ways. Strangely enough, this tea would be of more value to me for cooking rice and starch-based meals because of the woodiness and Muscat flavors.

Pros: delicious flavor combination, can be enjoyed in many different ways
Cons: none
